Cookie policy
In compliance with Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI) and the Guide on the use of cookies issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), Olimpia Distribución (Olimpia Nutrición, C.B., tax ID E98813041), with registered address at Avenida Reyes Católicos, 20. 46460 Silla (Valencia), owner of the website olimpiadistribucion.com, informs you about the cookies it uses and how you can manage them.
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser or on your device when you visit it. It allows the site to remember information about your visit (for example, your session, your preferences or the pages you view) and, in some cases, to recognise your device on later visits. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as browser local storage.
2. Types of cookies
Cookies can be classified according to three criteria: the entity that manages them, the purpose they serve and how long they remain active. For each category we state whether this site uses it.
2.1. According to the entity that manages them
- First-party cookies: sent to your device from a computer or domain managed by the website owner, who provides the service you requested. This site DOES use first-party cookies.
- Third-party cookies: sent to your device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the website owner but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies (for example, an analytics provider). This site DOES use third-party cookies (Google Analytics), only if you accept them.
2.2. According to their purpose
- Technical or necessary cookies: enable navigation and the basic functions of the site, such as keeping your session, protecting forms against fraudulent submissions or remembering your cookie choice. They are exempt from consent. This site DOES use them.
- Preference or personalisation cookies: remember options chosen by the user, such as language, region or display settings, in order to show tailored content. This site does NOT use them. (The language is selected through the page address, without cookies.)
- Analytics or measurement cookies: allow the number of users to be counted and the use of the site to be measured statistically and in aggregate (pages visited, duration, traffic source) in order to improve it. This site DOES use them (Google Analytics 4), only after you accept.
- Advertising and behavioural advertising cookies: manage advertising spaces and, in the case of behavioural cookies, build a profile of your browsing habits to show you related ads. This site does NOT use them.
2.3. According to how long they remain active
- Session cookies: stored only while you browse the site and deleted when you close the browser. This site DOES use them (session cookie).
- Persistent cookies: remain on your device for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which can range from minutes to years. This site DOES use them (to remember your cookie choice and, if you accept them, analytics cookies).
3. Cookies used on this website
The table below lists every cookie this site may set. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie notice.
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
olimpia_session |
First party (Olimpia Nutrición, C.B.) | Technical | Session identifier. Keeps your session while you browse, stores the security (CSRF) token that protects the contact form and allows confirmation messages to be shown after submitting it. | Session (deleted when you close the browser) |
cookie_consent |
First party (Olimpia Nutrición, C.B.) | Technical | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie notice (accept or reject analytics cookies) so it is not shown again and your choice is applied on every visit. | 1 year |
_ga |
Third party: Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | Analytics | Random identifier used to distinguish users in order to compile aggregate usage statistics (number of visits, pages viewed, traffic source). | 2 years |
_ga_6B3YCW74J2 |
Third party: Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | Analytics | Keeps the state of the measurement session (start, duration and pages of each visit) linked to this site's Google Analytics property. | 2 years |
Details of Google Analytics cookies are available on Google's page How Google uses cookies and in its Privacy Policy.
Third-party services that do not set cookies
The site also loads resources from the following providers. They do not set cookies on your device through this domain, although when they are loaded your browser sends connection data such as your IP address to their servers:
- Google Fonts (Google LLC): the site's typefaces.
- Google Tag Manager (Google LLC): tag manager used to administer measurement. It is only loaded if you accept analytics cookies and does not set cookies by itself.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.): anti-bot check loaded only on the contact page to protect the form.
4. Legal basis and consent
Technical cookies are set without consent, as they are essential to provide the service you request (Article 22.2 LSSI). Their processing is based on the owner's legitimate interest in the proper functioning and security of the site.
Analytics cookies are only set after you expressly accept them in the cookie notice shown when you enter the site. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Until you accept, the measurement tool runs in cookieless mode and no identifier is stored on your device.
In the cookie notice you can:
- Accept all: technical and analytics cookies are enabled.
- Reject all: only technical cookies are kept. No analytics cookie is set.
- More options: opens the preferences panel, where you can switch the "Analytics or measurement cookies" category on or off individually and save your selection.
Rejecting or configuring cookies is as easy as accepting them and does not affect your access to the site or your use of the contact form.
5. How to withdraw consent or change your preferences
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the Cookie preferences link, which is also available in the footer of every page. When you switch analytics cookies off, they stop being used and the site deletes any Google Analytics cookies set on this domain.
You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking technical cookies may prevent you from using the contact form.

6. International data transfers
Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. are based in the United States, so data linked to their cookies and services may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Both entities are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, which guarantees a level of protection equivalent to the European one. The list of certified entities is available at dataprivacyframework.gov.
Data collected by Google Analytics is processed in aggregate and with the IP address anonymised at source. For more information on Google's processing, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
7. Updates to this policy
This policy may be amended when the cookies used by the site or the applicable regulations change. We recommend reviewing it periodically. More information on how we process your personal data is available in our Privacy policy.
